This is a good-faith, plain-language draft written to match what Revalu actually does today. It has not been reviewed by a licensed attorney and should be before this policy is relied on for a public launch. The governing-law section below is a placeholder pending that review.
By creating an account or using Revalu, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
Revalu is a free software platform for real estate agents to build a pre-listing improvement plan with a seller and, optionally, request a quote from an independent contractor for some or all of the recommended work. Revalu is not a general contractor, does not perform construction or renovation work itself, and does not guarantee any contractor's pricing, availability, timeline, or quality of work. Contractors on Revalu are independent third parties, not Revalu employees or agents. Revalu facilitates the introduction between an agent and a contractor; any agreement for actual work is strictly between the agent/ seller and the contractor.
Revalu is intended for use by real estate agents and similar professionals acting on behalf of their own clients. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, and for obtaining the seller's consent before sharing their property information with a contractor through the platform.
Every cost figure, price estimate, and comparison Revalu shows is a planning-stage estimate — either entered directly by you or computed from numbers you entered — not a professional appraisal, a contractor bid, or a guarantee of any kind. Revalu does not guarantee any specific sale price, cost, or return on any renovation investment. Consult licensed professionals — appraisers, contractors, your own brokerage — before relying on any figure Revalu shows for a real decision.
You're responsible for the activity on your account. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from your profile page — this is self-service and immediate. We may suspend or terminate an account used in a way that violates these terms or misuses the platform.
Revalu is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Revalu isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any outcome of work performed by a contractor you connected with through the platform.
[PLACEHOLDER — insert the governing state/jurisdiction here before launch.]
If these terms change in a meaningful way, we'll update the effective date above.
